Group Policy Management And Create New Group Policy

 Group Policy Management In Windows Server 2008




Group Policy Management option appear under Administrative Tool, through this management console, we can create policies and apply  to any Organizational Unit. follow below image-


Below windows will appear for manage Organizational Unit through Group Policy management console






















Then right click on MY USER OU and select Create a GPO in this domain, and link it here option



 Now below window will be appear, type Policy Name here





















Here i am typing Logoff  name

 
Now i am Creating Group Policy For Disable Shutdown/Restart/Sleep/Hibernate Button from Start Menu


Go to the created GPO and right click, select Edit option 

















Now below window will be appear, go to the User Configuration and expand Administrative Template Policy  and select All Setting. On the right side pane double click on Add Log off to the Start Menu and enable it.






















Again go to the User Configuration and select Start Menu And Task bar, on the right side select Remove And Prevent Access to the Restart, Shutdown, Sleep, And Hibernate option and enable it.




















Policy has been configured you can check brief detail of policies below


















After than go to the client computer and update the policy through below command
gpupdate /force

After update check through start menu like below






















Now all option are disabled only Logoff, Switch User And Lock option is enable.
