Routing And Remote Access On Windows Server 2008

Routing And Remote Access (RRAS) feature in Windows Server 2008



Software based router- Windows Server 2008 (RRAS) feature can we used to route traffic between lightly trafficked subset on a small network.  




Step by step configuration of Routing And Remote Access (RRAS)




Go to the Server Manager and select Add Role option, below window will be appear select Network Policy And Access Services and click on Next button

























Select below services and click on Install button

























Installation succeeded like below
























Now go to the Administrative Tools option and here Routing And Remote Access feature is enable select it

























Routing And Remote Access window will be open, select your system and right click, open Configure And Enable Routing And Remote Access option


















After that below window will be appear click on Next button































Now select Custom Configuration option like below and click on Next
























Now select LAN Routing option like below and click on Next























Completing wizard will be open like below click on Finish button























Press OK for confirmation































After that initializing will be start































Now LAN Routing has been configured, check from left side of window pane












You can disable LAN Routing from below option
