How To Uninstall Active Directory Domain Services From Windows Server 2008






Here we learn about how to remove Active Directory Domain Services Role from Windows Server 2008

Go to the command prompt and type dcpromo.exe like below













After press enter below window will be appear, Server already having Active Directory that's why "you can use this wizard to uninstall Active Directory Domain Services on this server"


Below window will be appear after press Next, Its Confirmation Window for Delete Domain Controller Check mark on "Delete the domain because this server is the last domain controller in the domain" option and press Next



Again Confirmation Window will be open for Delete Application Directory Partition, check mark on below option and press Next


Below window will be appear and asking for Administrator Authentication for Removing Active Directory


Below window showing Summary of Removing Active Directory, After read click on Next 


After next Active Directory Domain Services start Removing process like below and after completed the process server automatically restart so please wait.


After restart the server go to the Server Manager > Remove Role and Unchecked the Active Directory Domain Services option and click on Next


In below window, Click on Remove Button


Once removing process has been completed, you can check from Server Manager ADDS (Active Directory Domain Services) role has been uninstall successfully.
