Lets start with Windows Server 2008 and know about minimum requirement for installation

Standard/Enterprise/Data Center  

Processor- 1GHz (x86),1.4GHz (x64)

Memory- 512 MB

Disk-10 GB 

Above specification is minimum and applicable for all editions

Step by step installation of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition

Method for installation of Windows Server

• Optical Disk
• USB Media
• Windows Deployment Services (WDS)

Here i am starting installation through Optical Media, Insert the appropriate Windows Server 2008 installation media into your DVD drive (Computer/Servers), and boot from DVD like below-

When prompted for an installation language and other regional options, make your selection and

press Next.

Press Install now to begin the installation process

Now Activation Key is required for installation so enter key and press Next.

Now below window will appear for selection of editions. select Full Installation and press Next.

After that read the Licence Terms and Accept the terms and condition and press Next. like below-

Below window for Which type of installation do you want, select Custom Advanced) option like below-

In the next window, Where do you want to install window, select disk and press Next.

The installation now started and copying the setup files from the DVD to hard drive its take time for installation.

 After complete the installation below window will appear type CTRL+ALT+DEL

Click on Other User..

You will be prompted to change the user's password, you have no choice but press OK.

After that password changing dialog box will appear, enter new complex at least 7 characters-long password twice.

Password has been changed screen will be appear like below

Now installation has been completed we can login through specified user name and password.
